PCH sponsorship
PCH has its headquarters in the state capital of Potsdam and has deep roots in this region. That’s why social commitment in this area, in particular sponsoring sports clubs, is something that is very close to our hearts. We place particular emphasis on sponsoring innovative approaches and active youth work. Let’s take a look at the teams we currently support:
SV Babelsberg 03
The Karl Liebknecht Stadium, which is home to SV Babelsberg 03 and also the largest stadium in the city, lies just under 3 kilometres from our company headquarters in Potsdam. We have been backing Potsdam’s best-known football club, currently playing in the Regionalliga Nordost, since 2019. The club places particular emphasis on the targeted fostering of young talent – and this is not just on a sporting level, but also on a personal level, which is why it works closely with Potsdam schools. It would be practically impossible to imagine the state capital without the record winner of the Brandenburg State Cup.
IronForce Racing
We have been supporting and sponsoring the IronForce team with all our heart and soul since 2018. The passionate driver Jan-Erik Slooten holds the creative mind behind the IronForce Racing project, which was finally launched in 2018. Next to professional motorsport, his main focus centres on approachability and having fun on the racetrack. Whether it’s the GT Masters, Porsche Carrera Cup Germany or the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring: IronForce is relentless!
1. VfL Potsdam
The city of Potsdam boasts a tremendous variety of sports clubs and programmes, something we are delighted to support. After seeing the energy and euphoria that is unleashed during a handball match, we simply couldn’t fight the urge. Which is why PCH has been supporting 1. VfL Potsdam in its hunt for goals since 2021, after all, handball and craftsmanship simply go together.
The close cooperation with the ‘Friedrich Ludwig Jahn’, Potsdam’s elite sports school, means that new talents are constantly being recruited to the VfL youth team, giving them the chance to join the men’s team later on. It’s a pleasure for us to be able to lend a hand to the Eagles in the second division and support their intensive youth work.
FaSTTUBe Berlin
We return to motorsport with the students of TU Berlin. They have founded a Formula Student team, the aim of which is to build a racing car each season in line with certain specifications. This is then put through its paces on the track to test its speed, stability and noise levels, to name but a few. The students are required to answer the jury’s questions regarding the design, economy and functions of the car. Our team must also provide a convincing cost and business plan for their vehicle. This team is synonymous with the future in two respects: it is here that the specialists of tomorrow expand their practical knowledge. They are also developing and testing technologies that can contribute to the development of future mobility concepts. They have been working with electric cars since 2016 and since 2023 they have their first electric car that can drive completely without a driver.
We have been supporting the FaSTTUBe team since 2022 and have kitted them out with urgently needed PPE and workwear. Such items included cut-resistant gloves, safety shoes and overalls, all of which are essential when working on the racing car.
