We support our home team from Potsdam

PCH has been delighted to support the largest football club in the state capital of Potsdam – SV Babelsberg 03 – since 2019. The club was founded on October 1st, 1903 and is currently made up of over 1,300 members, more than 500 of whom are active sportsmen and women at SVB.

Fun with football, respect, fighting spirit and social commitment: this is what the club stands for, which also fundamentally opposes all forms of racism, discrimination and violence.

The football club currently plays in the Regionalliga Nordost and is the record winner of the Brandenburg State Cup. Other achievements include playing in the highest German division in the pre-war period (the Gauliga), as well as the second-highest division in the GDR (the DDR-Liga) and once reunification was achieved, promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga (2001).

We’re looking forward to an exciting 2024/2025 football season and will be keeping our fingers crossed for our Kiezkickers as always!

A common goal

The company headquarters of PCH is situated just a few minutes away from the largest stadium in the city and also the home of the Kiezkicker. The Karl Liebknecht Stadium, built in 1976, was constructed according to the English model without a running track and can accommodate 10,787 spectators. Every game is a very special experience given the close proximity between the spectators and the footballers on the pitch.

The stadium is set in an idyllic location right next to Babelsberg Park, which is part of Potsdam’s UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Sustainability and environmental protection do not only play a key role at PCH, but also at Babelsberg 03, and this makes us all the more thrilled about this sponsorship.

Football’s coming home – is more than just a motto for the club. 03 offers a true football experience with its location: not only for young people, but also for families and children.

Targeted development of 03 young talent

The youth department of SV Babelsberg 03 presently has 17 teams across all age groups. The Potsdam football club is fully aware of its social responsibility and has therefore developed an extensive range of sporting and educational concepts aimed at providing the best possible support for young players. This is not just about athletic development, but also about further personal development.

03’s youth development concept has been undergoing constant development for over 10 years and is in line with the latest standards of a youth development centre. The aim: to train players who will support their first team.

The close cooperation with four schools in Potsdam also ensures that the children and young people’s school and sporting aspirations can be balanced.
